Lawyer Bob McGregor, ensconced in his new home of Calvin County, Tennessee, saves the life of an elderly moonshiner. With that and McGregor finding lumpy envelopes of cash from an unknown source, the laid-back, work-a-day lifestyle he had created comes to an abrupt end. To top it all, firebug No Toes Greene, a McGregor adversary from years before, is out of prison and asking around Manskar county honky-tonks for the location of his next kill, one Bob McGregor.
